Knowing G-d

Living Moshiach | June 27, 2025

This week’s Torah portion begins, “And He called to Moshe and G-d spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting...”

The Alter Rebbe explains the meaning of this verse in every Jew’s service of G-d:

The “calling” is G-d giving a shine and flow to Moshe so that he will be able to ascend and come to the Tent of Meeting. Every Jew has a “Moshe” within himself. The word for the Tent of Meeting has similar letters to the word for knowing. In the Redemption through Moshiach, we will see and know that G-d is the Life of all life and that there is nothing more besides for Him. Even before that, every Jew has the power to concentrate strongly on G-d as if seeing Him, similar to the perfection that will be then.
