So, the first point would be, don’t worry now about repayment. Rather, we should worry about our acquisitions, and make sure that we get everything that we need without leaving anything out. And let the Eibishter worry about the payment, He has to arrange the collection. And since He set up the credit, He will have to make sure to provide us with the means to pay up with the greatest harchovo .
For our part, we have to make sure to make the right hachlotos that will determine how our coming year will be. We know that the Rebbe would teach a new niggun every year on simchos Torah (up to 5724), at which time he would give out mashkeh to anyone who would commit to increase in their learning of chassidus that year (in fact, the stated reason for the discontinuing of this practice was the fact that these commitments were not being taken seriously, and little children were being taken to receive this mashkeh).
So we can conclude that a large part of the way that we make our payments is through increased learning of chassidus, and that helps us be proper vessels for the tremendous giluyim of this yom tov. So let’s make sure to use the opportunity to figure out a tangible way in which we’ll each increase our shiurim in chassidus (and gemoro as well, while we’re at it!), and learning in a way in which we can properly internalize what we learn and ensure that it has a proper impact on every aspect of our lives.
