People have no idea how their minds are crowded with subtle worries, and all kinds of sadness and fears that they are not even aware of. Perhaps this is why R’ Michel Schwartz told me that: “The Mayim Rabim of Chovos Halvavos has to be poured on your soul”. They write down their fears and worries. Once you write it, it becomes weaker and more open, and it doesn’t fester in your system.
The Power of Hachna'a
In Novardok I was told that Hachna'a is the key to all Yeshuos. As soon as you work on your Ga'ava; and:
- listen to others
- give in
- speak softly
- be Dan L'kaf Zechus
- and refrain from anger
then you save yourself a trip to the hospital. And if Chas V'shalom you are already sick, then your Hachna'a heals you, sometimes even immediately.
The Midda of Anava can bring major Yeshuos in a person’s life, like in Parnasa, Shiduchim, and health. I just heard three stories of people who worked on their Ka’as for a few months, and had major Yeshuos. I was told they used R’ Zelig Pliskin’s book on Ka’as. They didn’t just read it and put it down, they took it seriously and worked with it again and again.
My Rebbe, R' Ozer Schwartz Zatzal used to live with this principle, and it works like magic. I personally once had a Refua Shleima from a serious illness by working on Hachna'a. All these Parshiyos are very L'maase’dik for all of us; not to be a Paroh, Chas V'shalom!
