We are required by Jewish law to go out with weapons to defend ourselves, especially in border cities – which is most of the cities in the Land of Israel. We can’t rely on a miracle; we have to literally go out with weapons. But thanks to our connection to G-d, just seeing the weapons will scare the enemies and we won’t actually need a war. They will even help us!
