His Love of Hashem Was Stronger Than a Fiery Furnace

Rav Yisroel Shimon Kastelanitz zt”l (quoted in Sefer Tachin Libam, page 158) related the following about the well-known Stoliner chasid, R’ Eliezer zt”l, who was known to all as R’ Laiza:

One year on Parshas Lech Lecha, R’ Laiza became very emotional and said, “It is not hard to believe that Avrohom Avinu wasn’t burned by the fiery furnace, as his love of Hashem was stronger than the fire!”
