Accepting Hashem’s Ways With Love

Accepting Hashem’s Ways With Love:

Rav Avrohom Dov of Chmelnik zy”a (quoted in Sefer Eretz Hachaim) explains that the word “matos” (tribes) can also mean to fall to the bottom. Accordingly, the pasuk can be understood to be saying that if a Jew begins to fall and experiences a financial downturn, he should not, chas v’shalom, get angry at Hashem. Rather, he should say that “this is the thing that Hashem commanded.” This is what Hashem wants and he must accept it with love.

One must bless Hashem for the bad just like he blesses Him for the good and accept His will with joy.

Rav Avrohom Dov concludes: “If one does this, I guarantee that he will experience success.”
