Tefillin in Colorado

Dovid and his family went on a trip to Colorado. They were in a remote place without many Jews. On Shabbos, they were walking around. There was a fair going on in the area. He got into a conversation with someone selling flutes, and the vendor offered to Dovid to try out a flute. Dovid said he can’t because it’s Shabbos. The vendor said that he is also Jewish. They arranged to meet the next day to put on Tefillin!
