Through The Power of Emunah, One Can Draw Close to Hashem:
Sefer Kedushas Levi writes about this pasuk: “Hashem always wants to help all people. He especially wants to help the Jewish people, whom He calls his children. It is certain that our Father will give us all we need even before we need it. And it is certain that if a person has simple emunah in Hashem, He certainly will give him whatever he needs. If one trusts in Hashem simply and completely, He will certainly help. We should know that תָּמִים תִּהְיֶה וגו' ה' אֱלֹקֶיךָ (יח, יג) You shall be simple with Hashem your G-d. (18:13)
Hashem will certainly be with him. This is seen from the words ‘tamim tihye im Hashem Elokecha.’ When one is tamim and completely trusts that Hashem will take care of him, then he is ‘with Hashem’ and Hashem is certainly with him.”
