While there are many parshiyos in the Torah which mention Yetzias Mitzrayim, nevertheless, the paragraph of Vayomer was chosen because it contains so many other items that fit with the theme of Krias Shema.
The tzitzis remind us to follow all of Hashem’s mitzvos, just as we declare when we say Shema. The pasuk of v’lo sasuru teaches us not to allow our thoughts to stray against the Torah or to avodah zara, and not to let our eyes wander to forbidden sights. All of these ideas are perfectly suited to be a part of Krias Shema.
