It has been explained above that the Possuk: וַיִּקְרָא אֶּל מֹשֶּׁה “And He called to Moshe”, refers to the highest revelation that was extended to Moshe, this is alluded to in the small Aleph of the word וַיִּקְרָא into which the large Aleph of the word אָדָם from Diverei HaYomim extends.
Significance of the Aleph
(The fact that the word אָדָם is specifically written in the book of Diverei HaYomim, alludes to the fact that this concept is drawn down into the confines of time and space which is Diverei HaYomim).
The Baal HaTurim states that this alludes to Moshe Rabbeinu’s humility that HaShem wanted to show him respect that HaShem Himself was calling Moshe, but Moshe wanted the word to say ‘Vayikar’ which would mean that HaShem chanced upon Moshe but HaShem still wanted it to say Va’Yikroh and in the end the compromise was that Moshe did write Va’yikra but with a small Aleph, we see here how humble Moshe really was, that even though he was the leader of the whole of the Jewish people and spoke face to face with HaShem he still maintained his humility, to the extent that the Torah testifies in Bamidbor (12:3) וְהָאִיש מֹשֶּה עָנָיו מְאֹד מִכֹל הָאָדָם אֲשֶּר עַל פְנֵׁי הָאֲדָמָה “Now this man Moshe was exceedingly humble, more so than any person on the face of the earth.”
Another reason brought in the Zohar why there is a small Aleph because in the Mishkon only the Shechina spoke which is the secret of the small Aleph, because small letters come from it, whereas in the Beis HaMikdosh there was a perfect prophetic revelation from Zun (Unity of male and female) of the spiritual world of Atzilus. This is why in Diverei HaYomim the word Odom is written with a large Aleph because Odom (referring also to Chava) was a complete man & woman, [as the Possuk testifies (Bereishis 5:2) זָכָר וּנְקֵׁבָה בְרָאָם וַיְבָרֶּךְ אֹתָם וַיִקְרָא אֶּת שְמָם אָדָם בְיוֹם הִבָרְ אָם “Male and female He created them, and He blessed them, and He named them man (Odom) on the day they were created”] a complete male and female, in other words the letter Aleph from Odom is enlarged alluding to the complete man woman Odom that HaShem had created. Whereas in Vayikra the small Aleph is Nukvah - female which alludes to the revelation of prophesy only from the spiritual level of Malchus – Kingship. Thus differentiating between the small Aleph of Vayikra and the large Aleph of Odom which stands for Odom, Dovid and Moshiach. Therefore, the small Aleph needs the Hamshocha of the big Aleph.
