Your sister-in-law takes advantage of you, your best friend neglects you, your spouse never understands you... People will treat you wrong. Not because they're awful, but just because they're people. Try not to make a whole thing out of it. You don't want your kids to believe that people are terrible and hurtful. Talk well about people and your relationships with them, helping your kids to establish a base of trust and optimism when it comes to getting along with humans. This will help them achieve relationship success and the happiness that comes with it.

Today's behavior doesn't predict the future....thankfully...

Inappropriate behaviors that are happening now, should be corrected now. Staying in the "now" produces less stress than allowing your thoughts to wander to the future, as in "he is lying and if he continues this way he'll get in trouble with the law and end up divorced and in the gutter." If you have the tendency to forecast the future in dire terms, just practice bringing your attention back to the present moment. Deal with the CURRENT issue as if there is no tomorrow. You'll be less stressed and more effective.
