Jewish Leader Sets World Record

The Parsha Post | June 25, 2025

Forty years into his tenure as leader of the Jewish people, Moshe Rabbeinu is finally at the border of the Promised Land. In an effort to gain entry into the “land of milk and honey,” he has prayed to HaShem no less than 515 times - a world record.

“What a lesson in devotion,” said TNS prayer expert Rebbitzen Tehillah Tefillah. “Yet when HaShem commanded him to stop, he unconditionally accepted His will.”

“515 times... Quite thought-provoking,” commented TNS math wizard Professor Filbert Feinstein. “Add up the numerical value of VaEschanan (ואתחנן), meaning ‘and I pleaded,’ and you’ll get the number 515. And another fascinating tidbit: 515 is also the Gematria of Tefillah ‘prayer.’
