Rules And Boundaries Give You a Sane, Balanced Life

Just as jokes can be precious in laughing at the Yetzer Hara and being a happy person (like it says: תַחַת אֲשֶּר ל א עָּבַדְתָּ אֶּת ה' אֱלֹקֶּיךָ בְשִׂמְחָּה וּבְטוּב לֵבָּב תבא כח מז that we need to serve Hashem with Simcha) so can jokes be the poison of all mankind; i.e., when you make a joke of the rules and boundaries that give people a sane, balanced life. And indeed, a game without rules has no Ta'am (taste). It’s free-for-all, and everyone does what he wants. It may appear like a relaxed “freedom”, but in truth it’s total Yetzer Hara; a life without structure and sanity.
