DALED It has been explained earlier, that even though the world of 'Toho' (chaos) preceded the world of ‘Tikkun’ (rectification) nevertheless, ‘Tikkun’ refines 'Tohu'. That is because the source and root of ‘Tikkun’ is spiritually greater than 'Tohu' and, as is known regarding Yaakov and Eisov (who in their roots are ‘Tikkun’ and 'Tohu'), that from the inner perspective of the encompassing 'Makif' light the Possuk says: וָאֹהַב א ת יַעֲקֹב “yet I loved Yaakov”, even though in the external perspective it is הֲלוֹא אָח עֵשָו לְיַעֲקֹב “Was not Eisov the brother of Yaakov”?
This is because the root of the ‘Tikkun’ is spiritually higher than the root of the 'Tohu', and therefore it is in the ability of ‘Tikkun’ to refine 'Tohu', since at root it is greater. Furthermore, after the refinement of 'Tohu' through 'Tikkun' it has an even greater elevation, as is known when the name ‘Mah’ of 'Tikkun' refines the name 'Ban' of 'Tohu', then the name 'Ban' itself is elevated spiritually even higher than the name 'Mah' to the name 'Sag', and thence the state of 'Chessed from the inside' itself is extended.
