The Descent of the Neshomoh and the Refinement of the Lower Worlds

And according to what was explained above (chapter Gimel), that the person who is the superior species referred to as the 'Medaber' needs to be sustained specifically through the refinement of the inanimate, vegetation and animal realms and similarly too in the worlds, as is known that the different levels in creation of inanimate, vegetative and animals are parallel to the three spiritual worlds of 'Briyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah' and the 'Medaber' is paralleled with the spiritual world of 'Atzilus', and specifically through the refinement in the spiritual worlds of 'Briyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah' does the state of 'Chessed from the inside' extend to the spiritual of 'Atzilus'.

However, in order for there to be a refinement of the spiritual worlds of 'Briyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah' through Yosef, there needs to be the 'Koach' of Yaakov which is why the Possuk says: אֵלֶּה תֹּלְדוֹת יַעֲקֹּב יוֹסֵף meaning that the impetus for this is from the state of rectification (the state of Yaakov) which has already been rectified.

This is also the inference of the expression 'Descent of the Neshomo below', as opposed to the 'Creation of the Neshomoh', even though it is true that the Neshomoh is in a state of 'Creation' as we say in morning prayers אַתָּה בְרָאתָה “You have created it”. This is because in this expression of the 'Descent of the Neshomo' the place whence the Neshomoh has come is emphasised; that the Neshomoh has descended from a very high lofty place and that it is specifically with this lofty impetus that is it then able to refine refinements below. This means that without it who knows etc and the impetus is only because it feels the place whence it descended. This is the advantage of the 'Neshomos' over the other created beings; that even though it is also a created entity, it is almost as if G-dliness itself becomes a created being meaning that the Neshomoh actually senses the place from where it descended in the state of 'Atzilus', the world of 'Tikkun', whose source is even spiritually higher than the spiritual world of 'Tohu'. This is how the world of 'Tikkun' has the ability to refine the world of 'Tohu'.
