Chalukas Hashas and Its Significance

Chalukas Hashas

• Participate in a chalukas hashas by selecting a masechta to study over the course of the year.
• Regarding Shabbos, the halachah is that if one person is unable to perform a melachah alone and he does it with another, they are both liable as if they had each done the entire melachah. Similarly, when joining a chalukas hashas, it is as if each participant has studied the entire shas! (Sefer Hasichos 5752, p. 495)
