One Who Constantly Learns Shaar HaBitachon Can Achieve Miracles

Bitachon Weekly | June 25, 2025

STORY Someone called me up on Motzei Shabbos to discuss a problem, and they mentioned the name of a: חוֹלֶּ ה מְ סוּכָ ן critically ill patient, whose body was loaded with lots of clots from head to toe. He was in the I.C.U. and he was in critical condition, Rachmana Litzlan. I said: לֹ א הָ יוּ דְ בָ ר ים מ עוֹלָם “The whole story never happened! This person is 100% fine!” I called on Sunday, and they told me that right after speaking with me, the Choleh improved, and they very next day he came home from the hospital.

To be honest, I barely believe it myself. And today (Monday) they again verified the truth of this: מוֹפ ת miracle! Every time a person takes a Shaar HaBitachon in his hand, Hashem sees his Ratzon to grow in his Bitachon; and the person improves, whether he feels it or not. If you are a person who habitually peeks into Shaar HaBitachon at all odd moments, you will grow and grow and grow.

Soon you’ll be an official: בַ עַ ל מוֹפֵ ת wonder-worker! Provided that you keep records of all your answered Tefilos!! I can’t underestimate the importance of trying to be more and more intense about your Limud of Bitachon. Your Menuchas HaNefesh and Simcha improves, and you become really close to Hashem. I can’t tell people exactly how they should divide their learning; i.e., how much Chumash, Tanach, Halacha, Gemara, Mussar etc.

They say that there is a concept of Bittul Torah: בְּ א יכוּ ת in quality. A true Yeshiva Bachur may have a serious problem if he has big Kishronos for Iyun and Chidushei Torah, and instead he learns superficially, like a Baal’abos. Despite his learning all day, he may still be guilty of Bittul Torah: בְּא יכוּת in quality.
