A Yid should be Machshiv his Tefila as if everyone is depending just on him. Every Tefila is a live bomb that destroys the enemy. And as you daven, you are creating Malachei Rachamim that bring major Yeshuos and great Bracha to the whole situation. The more you are Machshiv your Tefila, the better it works. אַל תִירְ אִי תוֹלַעַת יַעֲקֹב ישעיה מא יד Fear not, worm of Yaakov (Klal Yisroel is called a worm which relies only on its mouth, and Klal Yisroel is total Tefila). Our power is mainly in Tefila, as it says: הַקֹּל קוֹל יַעֲקֹב וְהַיָדַיִם יְדֵּי עֵּשָו תולדות כז כב the (power of the) “voice” belongs to Yaakov, and the “hand” (physical power) belongs to Eisav. (Gemara).
