R' Chatzkel Levenstein Zatzal was giving a Vaad for Yungerleit, and he said that after WWI (which had been the worst war in history), the Chofetz Chaim Zatzal commented that it was “child’s play” compared to the upcoming war coming soon (WWII)!
R' Chatzkel Zatzal explained that these world-wars are only a small Chelek of the ongoing war of: חִ סָ רוֹ ן אֶׁ מוּנָ ה lack of Emuna. We see all the horrific pain that is caused by lack of Emuna. People have no idea of the unending horrors and tortures of WWI, which was a joke compared to WWII. And it keeps getting worse, since the world is at a low peak in Emuna and Bitachon.
