The Rebbe Reb Elimelech (No’am Elimelech Parashas Tazria) writes that when a person is preoccupied with the nonsense of This World, nothing is ever new—it’s all the same thing over and over. We chew over the same news and nonsense, over and over, until we become repulsed by it... nothing is ever new.
However, a Yid who goes in the ways of Hashem will gain new wisdom and understanding every day, and every day he will gain deeper inspiration that he didn’t have the day before. He explains that the pasuk זכר וילדה תזריע כי אשה refers to the neshamah. There is so much light inside our neshamah—and we must only connect it to the Ribbono shel Olam and allow that light to shine forth. By learning, davening, reciting Tehillim, performing mitzvos, engaging in teshuvah, one’s neshamah will be nurtured and it will begin to bear fruit... its light will shine forth.
