פרש"י שנאמר כתית למאור ולא כתית למנחות (מנחות פו.):
The Tiferes Shlomo ZY”A expounded on the Possuk as follows Kossis – pressed, Lame’or – illuminated, when one is in a tight situation; from there will come the light, Lo kossis - not pressed, Laminochos, hinting to a stationary position. Rav Binyomin Adler Shlit”a of Yerushalayim, repeated this from one who survived WWII and accredited his survival to the steady encouragement he received from this Vort.
We can now value what one Vort can accomplish!

Reb Yechiel of Aleksander ZY”A said, If you want to criticize a person - to “beat him”, as it be, and make him feel crushed and contrite, you must do it not to humiliate him but “for the light”, in order to light his path and to show him the right way.
