He would surely abandon everything else and devote himself to his business. Says the Ohr HaChaim: This is exactly how we must think regarding our avodas Hashem! Rather than devoting the majority of our energies to the trivialities and foolishness of This World and giving only a few moments of our day to the Ribbono shel Olam—we can do precisely the opposite!
We will devote a few moments to thinking about This World, and the rest of the time we will think about the Ribbono shel Olam and avodas Hashem—even if it is sometimes difficult—and slowly but steadily this will become our obsession. If we pay attention, we will see that even simple people have managed to attain this.
