The Light of the Love

Havineini | December 10, 2025

Indeed, when a person merits ahavas Hashem through constant thought, he merits kirvas Elokim to a point that nothing in the world bothers him. The yetzer hara tries to conceal this fact from us. He tells a person: “Don’t see the long view, don’t contemplate the reward that you will reap in This World as a result of your obsessive connection with Hashem.”

Were a person to appreciate the reward that we reap even in This World, he would be compelled to pursue this path of ahavas Hashem as if drawn by force. He would say, “What foolishness! I am obsessed with silliness! What is this worth compared to the spiritual windfall that I can have?” But the yetzer hara conceals this from us with all his might.

But the Ribbono shel Olam wants our love—and so He sent us the great light of the Ohr HaChaim HaKadosh to illuminate our eyes and to invest energy into the words of his Torah, so every person can access the light and be drawn to deep and all-encompassing love for Hashem through constant thought.
