Suffering From High Anxiety

Question: Dear Rabbi Mandel Shlita. I would really appreciate it if you could daven for me, Chaim Yankel ben Fruma Yenta. I have been going through very high anxiety for 6 months already. Thanks so much

Answer: No more anxiety, no more anxiety, no more anxiety, Tzum Driten Mohl. Say goodbye to all the anxiety. Take a deep breath, once a day, for five minutes on the clock. Very. long. slow. breaths. Five minutes on the clock. Slowly but surely, you will improve. You'll come back to normal, and say goodbye to all the anxiety. And call me up. Things will improve. Hashem will help you. In the meantime, you lost all your Gehinom. Don't even dream of Gehinom. People with anxiety do not burn in Gehinom. Say "thank you" for the past. But the future will be better B'ezras Hashem.

Suffering From Low Self-Esteem

Question: I suffer from extreme low self-esteem and am very much intimidated by people which makes me extremely shy (although I am in my 50's!). What advice can you offer me please? Thank you

Answer: Every day, go over to one scary guy, once every day, call me at the end of the week. You need someone: עוֹמ ֵדֵע ֵלֵג ֵב ֵיוֵ to monitor you, or else it's going to dissipate. Once a day, that's enough. Go over to one person who is scary. Say hello, or how are you, or tell them a Vort, or ask him for a Vort. Whatever you want. And come to me in one week, you won't recognize yourself. How's that one? Isn't that a bomb!
