Coming Down to This World to Benefit The Neshama:

Sefer Divrei Yisroel writes that these words that Yaakov said to the Shevatim must be repeated by every Jew in regards to the work he must do to earn a living. He must tell his work that “you did not send me here.” I did not come to this world to be busy with parnassah and worldly matters. “Because Hashem” – the real reason one is sent to this world is to serve Hashem and rectify his neshama.

One is not here to eat and drink, or even to take care of his wife and children; rather, one is here solely to serve Hashem.
