A Tzadik Lives With His Emunah

The Panim Yafos (Parshas Terumah) explains the Gemara that says that if one gives tzedakah on condition that his son lives, he is a complete tzadik, by saying that this person is expressing exceptional emunah in Hashem by showing that he is certain that he will be rewarded for obeying His will and giving tzedakah. He is rewarded for this emunah and called a tzadik, as the pasuk states (Chavakuk 2:4): “A tzadik lives with his emunah.”
