The Significance of the Eighth Day and Ten Crowns

Furthermore, our Sages of blessed memory have stated “That day took ten crowns” and it is explained that this is even greater than the number eight which is the state of לֵּי עָשׂוֹר “Upon a ten-stringed harp” which is greater than the לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַל הַשְמִּינִּית “For the conductor on the Sheminis (an eight-string harp).”

And about this day the Possuk states: הַחֹדֶש הַזֶה לָכֶם “This month shall be to you” and as explained earlier (In the Maamor with the starting word הַחֹדֶש) that this symbolises the concept of a Hamshocha from a place that is higher than the Tzimtzum.
