When You Value Yourself and Your Inherent Greatness Then You Will Blossom

Bitachon Weekly | June 27, 2025

The Netziv explains that when you give the: עֶׁ רֶׁ ך value of a person to the Bais Hamikdash, then the person has Hatzlacha in life. People who need more Hatzlacha have a higher: עֶׁ רֶׁ ך value. (He says that the highest: עֶׁ רֶׁ ך “value” are the young, middle years when people have children). We can suggest that this can also be a Remez. When you appreciate the: עֶׁ רֶׁ ך value of a person, and give Hashem credit for his value, then the person grows.

Always value yourself and others, and size up all your inherent greatness; then you will blossom. People who know their value, and appreciate the greatness of their Maalos, are much more successful people; providing that you give Hashem credit for making you so special. And when you appreciate the: עֶ רֶ ךְ value of the people around you, and the: עֶ רֶ ךְ value or your spouse and your children and Talmidim, then they do much more for you.

Don't even dream to believe that you have any Shaychus with realizing your/and other people's : עֶׁ רֶׁ ך value. The average human has bottomless Kochos, that he'll never use or even know of their existence. There are unending Kochos and negative thoughts that fight you day and night, to stop you from truly being yourself in all your glory. You can get distracted by all kinds of Avodas Hashem which are actually: מְּצַמְּצֵּם (inhibit) you!
