The Ribbono shel Olam designed the world in a such way that it is impossible to be mechanech our children if we’re not mechanech ourselves in the process. This is the purpose of our existence in the world, and these two have been intentionally intertwined! That you should become a Yid, that you should follow the Torah, that you should publicize the Name of Hashem in the world, that you should toil mightily on your middos and on your biases and feelings. It’s all about you! Your children are merely an extension of your mission.
The intense work of being mechanech our children, the countless nisyonos with which Hashem presents us in the course of this work, the need to regularly overcome our feelings and impulses regarding their chinuch, to constantly remember the true goal of chinuch, and to be joyful even though Hashem made things different from what you would have preferred are all really about hard work for you, making you an ehrlicher Yid!
