Storming the Heavens for Torah as the Exalted Day Approaches

There’s Hope

When a Yid sees that he’s not successful in learning Torah—he struggles to understand Torah, he’s unsuccessful in setting aside times for Torah learning, he doesn’t remember his learning, or he can’t seem to stop wasting time—he must know one thing: There’s something that can be done about it!

There are days remaining until Shavuos—and it’s not too late! There’s much that we can accomplish, for during this heilige Yom Tov, great illumination descends from Above for every person. If we take advantage of the simple eitzah of tefillah, the Ribbono shel Olam will surely help us.

The Avodah Prior to Shavuos: Bittul to the Ribbono shel Olam.

The way the Yom Tov of Shavuos works is that the more a person has nullified and submitted himself to the Ribbono shel Olam, the closer he will be to the Ribbono shel Olam—and one who’s close receives the אורות, the great light and illumination of the Yom Tov.

We don’t need any protektzia, we don’t need to sign up anywhere, and we don’t need to pay money—all we need is to begin creating a bond with the Ribbono shel Olam!

The more bittul a person has toward the Ribbono shel Olam, the more he will receive the great השפעות when the Yom Tov of Shavuos arrives.

Through bittul, we attain closeness, which draws down the great shefa for Yiddishe kinder.
