What does it mean to have bittul to the Ribbono shel Olam? Let us discuss this in a very simple way so that even children can understand; After all, they, too, need to succeed in Torah.

The first stage of bittul is when a person davens for success in Torah. This means that we don’t wait for Shavuos to begin davening. Of course, we must invest tremendously in our tefillah on Shavuos itself for success in Torah...we can pour out our hearts during אהבה רבה, we can recite a kapitel kuf yud tes in Tehillim, which is filled with supplications for Torah... but we mustn’t simply wait for that day—for that would indicate that we’re not really serious about it... we’re just grabbing another segulah, because that’s what we must do today.
