Many years ago, I wanted to learn loads over Yom Tov (Sukkos), and I davened constantly for Hatzlacha in learning; but with no success. Not only were my Tefilos not answered, but I slept a tremendous amount, much more than usual, with no time to learn. Always sleeping, day and night, like: וְּהָּ גִּ יתָּ בוֹ יוֹמָּ ם וָּלַ יְּלָּ ה?! But you need to have patience. Sure enough, that Pesach I learned 25 blatt Gemara, which was very unusual.
Never be Mya'esh from Tefila; just keep it up! Keep insisting (verbally) how fortunate you are, and how surely your Tefilos are now being answered. And if you don’t see immediate results, always: ט ְּייט ְּש rationalize that the reason must be L'tovah. Like R’ Zundel of Salant said: כָּל עַ כָּבָּ ה לְּ טוֹבָּ ה every delay is L'tovah. I remember that during that particular Sukkos, I explained the reason why my Tefilos were getting nowhere was because a Chashuva person has bigger Nisyonos. A person has a big Koach over his own destiny, and the way he sees things can perfect them tremendously. Always insist on seeing good in every Matzav, and Hashem will repay you.
