Perhaps, when the Torah says by Makkas B'choros that: בְכוֹר הַשְבִּי the firstborn in captivity will also die, שְבִּי can be a Remez for the unfortunate situation of all Mitzri'im. They are hostages to their Yetzer Hara which is the worst kind of hostage. I have met several people who are addicted to Ta'avos, and need to have a special program for the rest of their lives. They are terribly depressed.

We were under the: לַחַץ pressure of Mitzrayim, confined and unable to budge, Rachmana Litzlan. We were in a Matzav of: וְלֹא שָּמְעוּ אֶל משֶה מִּקֹצֶר רוּחַ ו ט being short winded, which means the opposite of relaxed and broadmindedness. We were trapped in Tumas Mitzrayim. And Hashem took us to a place which is: אֶרֶץ טוֹבָּה וּרְ חָּבָּה אֶרֶץ זָּבַת חָּלָּב וּדְבָּש שמות ג ח wide and relaxed. Moshe told Paroh: כִּי חַג ה' לָּנוּ י ט “We are leaving Mitzrayim to have a Yom Tov”. What does a Yom Tov have to do with Yetzias Mitzrayim?
