As if he was saying: “I enjoyed all my extra pecklach, since they made me super great, and now I am the: בְ חִ יר שֶּ בְ אָ בות greatest of all three Avos. I once heard a Shmuess from R' Don Segal Shlita about how wonderful our “sad” pecklach really are. Notice how Yaakov says: הִקָבְצוּ וְשִמְעוּ בְנֵּי יַעֲקֹב וְשִמְעוּ אֶּל יִשְ רָאֵּל אֲבִיכֶּם מט ב Gather and listen, O sons of Yaakov, and listen to your father, Yisroel! Before he gives the Brachos, he reminds his sons: first you can be a Bechina (type) of “Yaakov”, which means days of pain and depression (Ohr HaChaim). But you’ll also have days of “Yisroel” when you’re having Simcha and are on top. This is what life is all about.
