Chanukah is a Time for Teshuva

Siddur Lev Sameach writes similarly that these days are a good time for teshuva, even for those who it is said about them that teshuva will not help for them because they said that they would sin and then repent (Yoma 8:9). This is hinted to from the fact that the first letters of the words “chanun hamarbeh l’sloach” (which mean that Hashem desires to forgive sinners) spell “Chanu” – which is a hint to Chanukah.
