This behavior is what Dovid HaMelech was famous for, and it was the #1 Zechus that Dovid had in his entire life, since it earned him to become the: רֶגֶל רְבִיעִי שֶׁבְּמֶרְכָּבָה fourth pedestal of the Heavenly chariot. (Seforim).
When the Rosh Sanhedrin, Shim'i ben Gera cursed him and threw stones at him, Dovid said: כִּי ה' אָמַר לוֹ קַלֵּל “It is all from Hashem”, instead of killing him. This is the opposite of Sin’as Chinam, and it is the true Emuna in Hashem. You realize what the Chovos Halvavos is constantly stressing: אֵין הַתּוֹעֶלֶת וְהַנֶּזֶק מִן הַנִּבְרָא אֶלָּא מִן הַבּוֹרֵא (Shaar HaBitachon, Perek 4) people cannot help you or harm you; only Hashem can!
Except for Yosef and Yehuda, we know little about the Tzidkus of the Shevotim; except for this! And this is indeed Mamash everything! This is Emuna and Bitachon, and lack of Sin’as Chinam. And the fact that the Torah doesn’t get involved in more details of the lives of the 12 giants who were the basis of Klal Yisroel can be a proof that the Torah has said it all with: מַה זֹּאת עָשָׂה אֱלֹקִים לָנוּ Why is Hashem (not Yosef) doing this to us?!
STORY
A couple from NY had no children for 6 years. I asked about the Shalom Bayis, and indeed there was plenty of bickering. So I suggested working on this, and 9 months later they had a baby boy. The husband told me that whenever his wife acted up against him, he would take it as it’s coming from Shamayim, and his wife isn’t at fault. She picked it up from him, and started disregarding his insults for the same reason.
As a result, there was Shalom Bayis, and Baruch Hashem they have a child. When there is Sin’as Chinam in any form, either domestic, or being against different types of Yidden, then it can cause all kinds of Yissurim, Rachana Litzlan. It’s worth at least working on this, or davening.
