Source of a Niggun

Upon the passing of the Czar Nicolai, the strong leader of Russia, the Beis Aharon of Karlin sent a delegation to the funeral as Kovod Malchus – respect for the kingdom. The Beis Aharon told them, “It says (in the Possuk in Mishlei) באבוד רשעים רנה they will surely compose a new Niggun (song). Therefore, see to it to remember the Niggun”. When they returned from the funeral, and sang the niggun in front of the Beis Aharon, he answered the following. “This will be good for Aromimchoh”. And such is the known tune song to this day Bichatzros Kodsheinu on Chanukoh.
