Yaakov sent Malochim - messengers.
פרש"י מלאכים ממש Rashi - Real Malochim, Angels
Asks the Noam Elimelech ZY”A, why did Yaakov Avienu use real Malochim? Answers the Rebbe Reb Meilech, that by using real Malochim they will also be מליץ טוב good beseechers to Hashem while they are doing their service as messengers.

And Yaakov sent messengers before him to Eisov his brother to the land of Seir, the country of Edom. (32:4)
Rashi explains that they were actual Malochim. Asks the Noam Elimelech, why did Yaakov Avienu send real Malochim? To which he answers that Yaakov Avienu wanted the Malochim to be Meilitz Tov to Hashem, in that time when they are carrying out their mission.
One can add that it says the whole world is created to cater for the Tzaddik. The Tzaddik's whole being is to serve Hashem. The needs of the Tzaddik are minimal; the Tzaddik eats to satisfy his soul, (not his body) in turn that energy is a Ruchnius one, and is applied to Avodas Hashem. Therefore, say Tzaddikim, that one who eats and does all his materialistic actions Lisheim Shomayim, they are actually doing Ruchniyus - spiritual actions. A meal that is eaten to have strength to Daven, learn Torah, and do Mitzvos, is a Seudas Mitzvah.
A Yeshiva Bochur wanted to continue his learning in Yeshiva, but his Parents disagreed with him. They said that since there are three partners in a person, Hashem and the two parents, they are the larger portion, and he must heed to their request. The question was presented to Rav Moshe Feinstein ZY"A, who answered as follows. “Just as Hashem is a partner of a third in the bochur, so too is He a partner of a third in each of the parents respectively, 5/9th to 4/9th. Therefore, as Hashem wants the Bochur to stay in Yeshiva, to pursue his Torah studies, that shall be the abundant choice, which shall prevail.” So too, in our days, may Hashem save us from those who want to destroy the Yeshivos, the backbone of Klall Yisroel.
