Daven Every Day

Havineini | June 27, 2025

To recap: We have discussed two reasons to daven constantly for success in Torah.

One: Because through this we illustrate that “We want this very much, it’s not just another whim that we desire, and tomorrow we’ll want something else.” This alone brings a person to tremendous bittul in Hashem.

Second: We can never know which tefillah will awaken within us the recognition that without success in Torah מחיי מותי טוב, death is chas v’shalom better than life. Such a tefillah is desired and effective.

These are two separate nekudos, each of which bring out the point that a Yid must constantly daven for success in Torah, again and again, as long as he finds himself on This World. And if we daven in such a way, there’s no doubt that the Ribbono shel Olam will not abandon us, and He will make miracles for a person to succeed in Torah.
