The Most Extreme Evil Is Davka the Most Gevaldige Goodness
The image of the K’ruvim hugging each other should give us a sample and a picture of how our disappointments in life can be turned around to extreme Tovah. The hugging K’ruvim are a clear message of the most important Yesod on Tisha B’av in all Yiddishkeit: Gam Zu L'tovah! This is basic Emuna and Bitachon; that all evil is really good, and even the most extreme evil, like the Churban, is Davka the most Gevaldige goodness.
This is what all true Ovdei Hashem call “Aderaba”. אֶבֶן מָׁאֲסוּ הַבוֹנִּים הָׁיְתָׁה לְרֹּאש פִּנָׁה תהלים קיח כב The rejected and disgusting one becomes the main and most important part. We say it with tremendous Simcha, and we view our Bedi’eved situations as Le’chatchila of Le’chatchila!
So keep the image of hugging K’ruvim in your mind throughout your life, and all your difficulties and horrific situations will become more than bearable; they will cause you Mamash intense Simcha, providing that you learn loads of Shaar HaBitachon and other appropriate Mussar and Chizuk. All your petty mistakes and the foolhardy things that you do, will suddenly turn into a tremendous Bracha.
Providing that you work on it and verbally say Gam Zu L'tovah (Maharal, quoted above). Now begins the best part of your life.
