Respect and Appreciate Your Own Avodas Hashem - Even Tiny Efforts
How vital it is to respect your own Torah, Tefila, Chesed, and striving in Avodas Hashem. So many people get discouraged when they have Bitachon and it doesn’t seem to work. If they had true respect for even their tiny efforts in Bitachon and learning Torah and Mussar and Chesed etc. then it would go much further.
I would venture to say that every time you work on appreciating yourself and your efforts in Avodas Hashem, you are M'kayem a Bechina (type) of: יַחִּמְׁית עַקלֵמָ destruction of Amalek. And this may be an incentive to start giving more and more value to everything positive in your life. The Gemara says that Dovid HaMelech learned Torah the first half of the night, and the other half he sang.
R’ Zundel of Salant Zatzal said that he sang half the night just in thankfulness for the Torah he learned during the first half of the night. We see how much Dovid was Machshiv his learning. This is true Malchus, and: מַלְׁכוּתָא דְׁאַרְׁעָא כְׁעֵין מַלְׁכוּתָא דִּרְׁקִּיעָא earthly Malchus is a miniature of Heavenly Malchus. This is why a Melech gets unusual respect, and: הַמוֹרֵד בְׁלְׁמַכוּת חַיָיב מִּיתָה one who rebels against a king is immediately sentenced to death, since a Melech symbolizes the respect of a human and his actions.
