Go out and learn

When the Alter Rebbe returned from Mezritch, he was asked what he had learned there. He answered that he had learned the importance of "צא ולמד" (go out and learn), which means to go out from oneself and learn from others. In order to learn, one must leave behind their own ego. They must recognise their own deficiencies and see the good qualities in others.
