When a person brought a Korban Olah or Shelamim, the Cohen would schpritz the blood: שְׁ תַ יִם only twice (on the two opposite corners), yet this is considered: שֶ הֵ ן אַ רְׁ בַ ע as if they are really four (since the blood reached all four sides of the Mizbeach). Lesson: We do the drop we could, but it’s considered as if we did much more.
This is a Halacha in Korbanos, and “Korban” means being “close” to Hashem. The “as if” mode is a big Yesod in Yiddishkeit (two that are “as if” they are four). It appears like you did little, but you are really much better than you seem. We are in a Dor of: עִ קְׁ בוּתָ א דְׁ מְׁ שִ יחָ א right before the coming of Moshiach, and the one person who almost became Moshiach was Chizkiyahu HaMelech. (Gemara). With his not having any Koach to fight, or even to daven and have Bitachon, he was Zoche that in one night the entire Ashur (his worst enemy) was destroyed forever. (Medrash). Sometimes doing nothing is better than doing everything.
