A bird flies in Shamayim, which symbolizes spirituality and closeness to Hashem. (Maharal). Yet, the Torah lists loads of Tamei birds. A spiritual person can actually be the worst Rasha, because he fools himself, like the fundamentalist Arabs with their long beards and frum looking turbans and long robes. They feel so Chashuv and self-righteous, and then they just scream JIHAD and they kill without mercy.
Like those murderous Crusaders who were super frum and they did nothing but cruelty. Bilam HaRasha said many times that he can only listen to Hashem, and in the end he flew up to Shamayim (look how frum he was!) where he was killed by Pinchos. The Nazis emblem was an eagle. Indeed, those Treife birds are quite cruel. We also have an Aveira of: בַּ ל תוֹסִיף do not add to it, which forbids ADDING to our Mitzvos! (And it’s in the same Passuk as: בַּ ל תִגְרַע do not subtract from them; and it’s just as bad!)
We need to always work on inappropriate Frumkeit. STORY I once spoke to an anxious person on the telephone about his wife who was having lots of scary physical issues. I suspected that he was super frum, and his Bedikas Chametz was way too long. He laughed and admitted that indeed, it takes him 8 hours!
His wife is also a super frum nervous type. This can be Mamash dangerous. It’s not healthy for the children. I told him that he should use all that energy to learn to calm down, and be M'kayem: דְ רָכֶּיהָ דַרְ כֵּי נֹעַם (Mishlei 3:17) observing the Torah in a sweet way, and learn lots of Shaar HaBitachon.
