Bitachon Is Magic
A Yungerman in England suffered terribly from his wife. They were as good as divorced, with plenty of hate going on, and all kinds of wicked family politics. He kept davening, with real Bitachon that Tefila MUST help. He kept saying: הָ עַ קְ שָ ן יַ צְ לִּ יחַ the stubborn one, will succeed, and: בוֹא יָ בוֹא יוֹם יְ תֶ עָ וּשךָ surely the day of your Yeshua will eventually come. This was his sincere motto. Lo and behold, one day, her bad influences in her life disappeared overnight, and the whole situation made a complete turnaround!
Shimmy J. suddenly stopped learning, and spent his days with 24/6 smartphone activities. His life had no day and no night, and his mother was broken over her son’s addictive behavior. His learning was almost zero, and it was a Ness that his Yeshiva tolerated him.
His mother didn’t say a word to him. She made believe that he was the same Metzuyan of the past. She kept loving him, and ignored the most horrific scary behaviors. She doubted if he went to Minyan, or even davened altogether. But silence, Bitachon, and Ayin Tova was her constant motto.
She kept thanking Hashem for this “wonderful Nachas” child, who learns day and night and is a big Tzaddik. (Of course, she would sometimes daven hard for a real Yeshua). No matter what he did, she stubbornly kept referring to him as a Geshmake, wonderful boy. Finally, Shimmy decided he’s leaving Yeshiva, and things became super dark!
His Rosh Yeshiva, instead of being happy (that he got rid of this major issue that was impossible to deal with) called up Shimmy, and convinced him to come back to Yeshiva! Within a few months, Shimmy was learning with great Hasmada! Don’t be impressed with scary Yetzer Hara’s. I have seen the worst bipolarism, OCD, and all kinds of addictions and mental issues, disappear.
The same Borei Olam (Creator of the world) Who Created them, can get rid of them. Especially if you aren’t Nis'pael from them. “My jealousy/ depression/ anxiety/ eating habits/ uncontrollable wicked thoughts; are scary and never ending!” With Hashem, lifelong addiction can disappear! It has a lot to do with how overwhelmed you become. It’s all a test Min HaShamayim, to make you great; if you work on Bitachon and Ayin Tova. Keep learning Mussar on Bitachon!
I met a Williamsburger Yid who told me that his father was an Admor who specialized in bringing Yeshuos for “beyond Yi'ush” situations. The Pele Yoetz says that in the most impossible situations a person should not give up, and by speaking positively, you invite goodness to your situation.
Remember! Hashem is greater and more powerful than the worst addictions and diseases and crazy issues! הַ כֹ ל יָכוֹל Hashem can do anything! And the Midda of Savlanus is very strong. R' Shlomo Freifeld Zatzal told me that you need to learn how to have iron Savlanus, and not to say anything, even for years (unless there is a Tachlis gained by giving Tochacha). This was a major Koach of the Alter of Slabodka Zatzal who was the greatest M'chanech in prewar Europe - quiet Savlanus! (And Bitachon!)
