So, so many frum Cheshbonos are total Yetzer Hara. I know people who want to degrade or even kill themselves because of their sins. Even when Gedolei Torah instruct them to be Dan themselves L'kaf Zechus, they have a hard time obeying. *******

The only thing that makes them happy is to hurt themselves all day. That’s their comfort mode, since it’s their nature, or they inherit this. We love believing negatives (about ourselves or others) and are uncomfortable with positives. Even if you just try to be positive a drop, it’s your biggest Zechus. It’s called Tikkun HaMiddos, and you are automatically super high. לְ פוּם צַ עֲ רָ א אַ גְ רָ א אבות ה כב The reward increases according to your effort. The harder it is to be positive, the more Schar you get, even for the slightest effort.
