Do You Believe in The Power of Kindness? Work On It, And You’ll Have a Good Life!

TRUE STORY
Many years ago, a Yid from Argentina called me about his 12-year-old son who was all depressed and shy, and he refused to go to school for months and months. The parents were crying and davening and begging their son to go, but they were getting nowhere. I told the father to keep away from his boy, and instead of kvetching about the situation, he should laugh it off and lead a happy life, and stop worrying about his son. He started going more and more to Chasuna's, schmoozing with his friends, and socializing with plenty of Simcha and carefreeness. After a few weeks, the boy made a turnaround! He started smiling, and he became a normal Baal Achrayus. He started going back to school, slowly but surely.

TRUE STORY
I had tons of Bitachon Weeklies to give out in a big shul, and suddenly a Yid wanted to sell me a small Sefer which was overpriced. I realized his plight (that he needed money in general) and I wanted to buy the tiny Sefer for $20. But I remembered that I owed the printer of Bitachon Weekly thousands of dollars, and my money should be used for that. In the end, I decided that $20 won’t make such a difference, and I had Bitachon that Hashem will get me all the money I needed to pay for the Bitachon Weekly. As soon as I gave him the $20, a Bachur told me that he’d like to give out all those Bitachon Weekly’s to all Yeshiva’s. This takes a big load off me. Hashem was showing me the power of: כָל הַמְרַחֵּם עַל הַבְרִ יות, מְרַחֲמִין עָלָיו מִן הַשָמַיִם שבת קנא ב When you have Rachmanus on others, you get Rachmanus from Shamayim.

A Yid told me that his father is in very good health, although the is almost in his eighties. He explained that his father is totally involved in Chesed, and he is always: מַ טְ רִ יחַ goes out of his way to help people. R' Tzvi Pruzansky Zatzal told me that he is constantly seeing the truth of: כָל הַמְרַחֵּם עַל הַבְרִ יות, מְרַחֲמִין עָלָיו מִן הַשָמַיִם שבת קנא ב. He was a big Baal Chesed, and he saw openly how Hashem was always paying him back. We have to work on believing in this Chazal, and then it will work for us also. Daven!
