When it comes to chinuch, there are many approaches. There are people who just don’t want to be bothered; they want to distract themselves from all the issues. Then there are those who are ambitious; they feel they’re opening a company that will produce powerhouses of children, one after another, through their own efforts.
And then there is the right way: Those who put forth responsible efforts, but they never for a moment leave Hashem’s embrace, knowing that everything is in His Hands. If one needs to take one of his children for an evaluation, he says, “Thank You, Hashem. You’re surely taking me to a better place.” He goes along with Hashem’s program, telling himself, “I don’t know what the results will be, but I know that Hashem brings only good to the world, and this is one of those things.”
