A Tzadik Functions with the Awareness of the Schar Awaiting Him

Dovid is well aware of the rewards awaiting him for not harming Shaul when he could have easily killed him and ended all his Tzaros and Redifos (persecutions). A Tzadik functions with the awareness of the Schar awaiting him. Especially when he does something very difficult and is Moser Nefesh. This makes it easier.
