The “Thank You” Person Has Special Protection in Shamayim
That's why a person who is a “thank you” person is treated differently. There is no question-in-the-world that he has special protection in Shamayim. By him, when he has a bad Mach'shava, they say “Leave him alone, he's a good guy!” His name is Yehudi (which means Hoda'ah, i.e.,) he's always saying thank you. Whereas by the Goy: אֲרַמִּי אֹבֵד אָבִי “He killed Yaakov” even though he didn't. Since he wanted to, he is considered like he did it. "Get lost, because you are not a thank you type!” You've got bad thoughts, you're in trouble.
Therefore, we have to try as much as we can to be a thankful type of person, the more the better. And the more we are in the thank-you mode, the more Hashem is Dan us L'kaf Zechus. The more He loves us, the more He doesn't take our bad thoughts seriously, or any other bad things we do; because we are the thankful type, so we are looked at as different. We are calm, happy people.
When we bring Bikkurim, we have to remember that we are saying: אֲרַמִּי אֹבֵד אָבִי "An Arami killed my father”, to show how disastrous it is to be a Lavan, i.e., a man who is not a thankful type, that even his bad Mach'shava is considered as if he carried it out. "He killed Yaakov!" Look how dangerous it is not to be thankful. If you're not a thankful type, you are like a murderer!
The thankful heart makes a Shpeil about the goodness in his life and remembers it
